A self-guided visit of our museum spaces
We are in 1967, the boat lift is about to make its last maneuver.
Follow Jacques, the keeper of the Boat Lift who is leaving for his last round and listen to him tell you the little anecdotes that made the great History of this extraordinary monument, witness to the great hours of French industrialization.
Then board a real Freycinet barge, and discover the very particular way of life of the bargemen.

Accompanied by our guides, explore the environment of the Fontinettes Boat Lift and contemplate the grandeur of the human developments allowing navigation on this good old Neuffossé canal, which has seen many barges pass! Then join the visiting spaces of the Boat Lift to travel back in time to 1967 and meet Jacques, the keeper of the Boat Lift, who will whisper in your ear the little anecdotes that make the great History of this extraordinary monument.

Guided tour of the railway collection of the Aa Valley Tourist Railway association
On weekdays, outside of the train ride visits that the association has been offering for several decades, follow our guide to discover the old Arques station and discover locomotives and passenger cars from various eras, the History of the association, its volunteers and their mission to preserve historical railway equipment in connection with SNCF.
Approximately 1h15, departing from and returning to the Fontinettes Boat Lift (6-minute walk).
